Listen up all upcoming high school seniors! If you want to get a FREE prom dress for you 2018 prom, then keep reading! We need ONE STUDENT from each school to join our Prom Helpers for the upcoming 2018 prom season!

What do you need to do to become a prom helper? It is simple! Reach out to us either via Facebook, email, Instagram or in person at our Boulevard Mall location! Let us know that you want to represent your high school! There will only be ONE Prom Helper per school, so it is a race to represent your school!

Once I become a prom helper, what do I have to do? You will then be in charge of handing out coupons and flyers to the other girls in your school going to prom! For every girl that comes in and purchases a dress, you will receive a credit towards your prom dress and accessories! (They MUST let us know you refereed them or come in with a coupon/flyer you handed out in order for you to receive credit.)

How do I get my free dress? Based on how many girls come in from your school with your coupon/flyer, it will then determine how many credits you have towards your dress purchase! (You can pick out a dress up to $500 in value.) If you have left over credits you can then use those towards accessories!

We will pick one Prom Helper out of all of the schools to win the GRAND PRIZE which will be announced once prom has begun. Yes, you can win much more than just a free prom dress!

We will begin accepting Prom Helpers once the school year starts, but you can always reach out to us beforehand if you are extremely interested! Prom 2018 is going to be amazing! We will also be bringing in new designers that everyone knows and loves, but shhhh you didn’t hear from me!

Prom 2017 has officially come to an end! Thank you to all of the amazing customers that shared their prom pictures with us! We plan on printing them out and hanging them in our store! As prom season starts to come to an end, nothing makes me happier than receiving pictures from our customers from their special night! We have already started receiving some pictures but I know there are many more proms to come! 1. Lip Gloss or Lipstick. After you are finished with your makeup for prom, make sure to bring the lip gloss or lipstick that you used with you! After hours of talking and even dinner, you will absolutely need to reapply!
2. Gum or Mints. I’m not saying that you have bad breath, but always be prepared just in case! You never know what you’ll end up eating or drinking throughout the night, but you’ll be prepared god forbid!
3. Safety pins or Double Sided Tape. Malfunctions happen all the time, so it is just better to be safer than sorry! You may not end up needing them, but a fellow girlfriend may! Safety pins are essential in case a zipper or strap breaks! Double sided tap is crucial if you have a plunging neckline!
4. Bobby Pins, Mini Hairspray and Hair Ties. If you have your hair in an up do, make sure you bring spare bobby pins and hairspray! Your hair will only hold through so many dances, so make sure you can fix it when it starts to fall apart.
5. Compact Mirror and Concealer. We all sweat, so make sure you have concealer to help reapply your makeup if you start to sweat it off.
6. Mini Nail File. Just in case your manicure doesn’t hold up!
7. iPhone or Cell Phone. You have to make sure to take tons of pictures during this unforgettable night! Bring a mini charger too just in case! Capture all of the memories that you can!
8. Mini Perfume and Mini Deodorant. You can never be too over prepared! I love bringing roll on perfume because they take up no space and you can always reapply easily! Get yourself a mini stick of deodorant too, you never know if you’ll work up a sweat dancing the night away!
9. Band aids. Accidents happen, so just be prepared! It could be something as simple as a hangnail or maybe someone steps on your toe, at least you’ll have a band aid ready to go! No one wants to bleed on their dress!
10. Blotting Papers. I swear by Neutrogena Shine- Control Blotting Sheets. Just take one of the sheets and blot on your forehead, down your nose, and along you cheeks to collect all the oil on your face!

One of my favorite obsessions for summer is floral rompers! I can easily wear one to a backyard barbecue, a formal dinner, or a night out on the town with my girls! They are versatile enough for me to wear them during the day or at night. I own a couple different styles but I really like the halter neckline ones, they are so comfortable! You can pair them with a pair of sandals, wedges or even booties depending on your own personal style. I highly recommend purchasing a couple to spice up your summer wardrobe!

 

Prom is only a few weeks away and now you are down to crunch time on finding your perfect dress! Dress shopping shouldn’t be stressful and you can make the experience more enjoyable with these helpful tips I’ve come up with! Remember that there is the perfect dress out there for everyone, so don’t feel like you have to settle! Don’t lose hope or get stressed out, stay determined and you will find your dream dress! First, have a game plan! Map out the shops you plan on visiting that day, don’t just wing it. You might get lucky and find your dream dress at the first stop, but if not, have a backup plan.

Second, bring someone you trust! I cannot go shopping without my best friend because I know she will always be honest. It doesn’t matter who your shopping buddy is, it is always just nice to have someone with you. So grab your best friend, mother, grandparent, or sibling and have a fun day of shopping!

Third, don’t make it complicated! If something isn’t fitting properly then maybe it isn’t meant to be. If your prom is quickly approaching and don’t have time to get alterations done you’ll have to look for a dress that fits your body well. Make sure you can eat, dance and enjoy your prom night without having to worry about your dress malfunctioning!

If you plan on purchasing a prom dress online than please be extremely cautious! Though I cannot stop you from ordering online, I do advise you to do research on the website you plan to order from before purchasing! The last thing you want is to be out your money and be left without a dress! It is always better to #shoplocal at dress boutiques in Buffalo so you guarantee that you’ll get your dress! One of the things I love about working in fashion is seeing all the gorgeous designs and styles each prom season. This year has been one of my favorites so far because the designers focused on both simple and extravagant styles. Two of the designers that I am obsessing over this year is Sherri Hill and Jovani but they do cost a pretty penny! TT New York carries a line called Clarisse that sells styles similar to Sherri Hill and Jovani at a much more affordable price!
